Privacy Policy

1. Controller and contact

1.1 Sunrise Swell Ventures LLC, a Texas limited liability company trading as Resume Insite ("Resume Insite"), with a business address at 5900 Balcones Drive STE 100, Austin, Texas 78731, determines the purposes and means of the processing described in this policy.

1.2 All privacy inquiries and rights requests shall be directed to hello@resumeinsite.com.

2. Categories of information collected

2.1 Identifiers and contact data. Name, email address, and the domain name requested, where supplied.

2.2 Content submitted by the individual. Resumes, curricula vitae, portfolios, writing samples, photographs, promotional codes and free-text instructions submitted through the order form. Such documents commonly contain additional personal information, including telephone numbers, postal addresses, employment history and educational history. Resume Insite receives only the content the individual elects to submit.

2.3 Change requests. Where an existing client submits a request through the change request form, Resume Insite collects the email address supplied, the description of the requested change, and any files attached to that request.

2.4 Technical data. The internet protocol address from which an order is submitted, retained with the order record for fraud prevention and abuse mitigation, together with server logs maintained by the hosting provider in the ordinary course.

2.5 Transaction data. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Resume Insite does not receive, process or store complete payment card numbers. Resume Insite receives the email address associated with the payment, the transaction amount and status, and the brand and final four digits of the payment card.

2.6 Resume Insite does not acquire personal information from data brokers or other third-party sources, and does not engage in cross-site or cross-application tracking.

3. Purposes of processing

3.1 Personal information is processed for the following purposes only:

• design, development, hosting and maintenance of the individual's website;
• registration and administration of the associated domain name;
• processing of payments, receipts, renewals and refunds;
• service communications concerning orders, the website and subscription renewals;
• security, fraud prevention and maintenance of service integrity;
• compliance with legal, accounting and tax obligations.

3.2 Content identified by the individual as not for publication shall not be published on the website.

3.3 Resume Insite does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Resume Insite does not send marketing communications to individuals who have not requested them.

4. Disclosure to service providers

4.1 Personal information is disclosed only to the service providers necessary for the operation of the service, and only for that purpose:

• Hostinger International Limited, website and file hosting on servers located in the United States, and email services;
• Stripe, Inc., payment processing and subscription billing;
• Cloudflare, Inc., domain name system services for resumeinsite.com;
• the applicable domain registrar, registration and administration of domain names.

4.2 Personal information may be disclosed where required by applicable law, legal process or governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Resume Insite, its clients or the public.

4.3 In the event of a merger, acquisition or transfer of the business, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the terms of this policy.

5. Storage and security

5.1 Submitted files are stored on hosting infrastructure located in the United States, in a directory outside the public web root, with file system permissions restricting access to the service account. Files are additionally transmitted to the Resume Insite administrative mailbox as email attachments. Access is limited to the personnel of Sunrise Swell Ventures LLC who operate the service.

5.2 The website is served over HTTPS with HTTP Strict Transport Security enabled. Uploads are validated by file type and size. Payment card data does not transit Resume Insite systems.

5.3 No method of transmission or storage is entirely secure, and no absolute guarantee of security is given. Resume Insite shall notify affected individuals of any security breach affecting their personal information in accordance with applicable law.

6. Retention

6.1 Orders for which payment is not completed, and the files submitted with them, are deleted 90 days after submission.

6.2 Files belonging to active clients are retained for the duration of the hosting subscription, such retention being necessary to perform the service.

6.3 Following cancellation, client files are retained for 90 days and thereafter deleted.

6.4 Completed change requests, and any files submitted with them, are deleted 90 days after completion.

6.5 Page view statistics, which are aggregate counts and contain no personal information beyond the daily hashes described in clause 7.4, are retained for 13 months.

6.6 Transaction and tax records are retained for the period required by applicable law. Such records do not include the documents submitted by the individual.

6.7 Earlier deletion shall be effected on request, except to the extent the information remains necessary to provide a service the individual continues to receive, or to comply with a legal obligation.

7. Cookies and local storage

7.1 No advertising cookies, tracking cookies or third-party analytics services are used on this website.

7.2 The order form sets a single session cookie that is strictly necessary to limit repeated automated submissions. The cookie expires at the end of the browser session.

7.3 A draft of the order form may be retained in the browser's local session storage on the individual's own device to prevent loss of entered data. That draft remains on the device and is not transmitted to Resume Insite as a separate record.

7.4 Resume Insite operates its own page view counter on its own servers. For each page view it records the page address, the referring website's host name, and the date. No cookie is set and no identifier is stored in the browser. The visitor's internet protocol address and browser identification are combined with a random value that is generated daily and discarded when the day ends, and reduced to a one-way hash for the sole purpose of counting distinct visitors on that day. Neither the address nor the hash is retained in a form that permits recognition of a visitor across days, and no data is transmitted to any third party.

7.5 Page view counting is not performed where the browser transmits a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

8. Individual rights

8.1 Subject to applicable law, an individual may request: confirmation of whether personal information is held; access to that information; a portable copy of it; correction of inaccurate information; deletion of the information; and cessation of non-essential communications.

8.2 Requests shall be submitted to hello@resumeinsite.com and shall be answered within 45 days of receipt. That period may be extended once where reasonably necessary, in which case the individual shall be notified within the initial period.

8.3 Verification of identity may be required before information is disclosed or deleted. No fee shall be charged for a request, and no individual shall receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.

8.4 An individual who considers a request to have been handled improperly may appeal by written notice to the address in clause 1.2. The appeal shall be determined within 45 days and the decision communicated in writing.

9. Children

9.1 The service is intended for individuals aged 18 and over. Resume Insite does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Any such information identified shall be deleted, and notification to hello@resumeinsite.com is requested.

10. Amendments

10.1 This policy may be amended. The effective date at the head of this document indicates the date of the current version. Where an amendment materially affects the processing of personal information already held, affected individuals shall be notified by email.
